Guidelines on how to become a member of After Hours Pub
AHP currently requires recruits to be 18 years of age to be eligible for membership.
AHP has 2 methods to becoming a member. The following guidelines outline how our process works.
Non-Sponsored Recruit (-AHP.R-): This is a player who has expressed a serious interest in joining AHP. They have filled out an online application and have made the effort to reach out to @BiGMiKe via Steam for an invite into the .R group and given access to AHP’s TeamSpeak server, they are allowed to participate in AHP scrims, and are NOT allowed to sit in on AHP Membership Meetings
Sponsored Recruit (-AHP.S-): This is a player who has filled out an online application, found a member sponsor and have officially been accepted as a Sponsored recruit in AHP, and is authorized to wear the official AHP Sponsored Recruit Tag. They have made the effort to reach out to @BiGMiKe via Steam for an invite into the .S group and given access to AHP’s TeamSpeak server, they are allowed to participate in AHP scrims, and are also allowed to sit in on AHP Membership Meetings
Member (-AHP-): This is a person who has officially been selected to join AHP, and has accepted the invitation to join. All the rights and responsibilities of being an AHP member has been granted to them.
Sponsor: An AHP member who vouches for the suitability of a candidate for admission into AHP. A sponsor has the responsibility of shepherding a recruit through the recruitment process.
There is to be only one Sponsored recruit per member. We reserve the right to suspend non sponsored recruitment at any time i.e. we get a large influx of new recruits that we will be unable to sufficiently get to know, we may temporarily suspend accepting any additional recruits until some of those have gone through the process.
If a member agrees to sponsor a player then that player is now known as a Potential Sponsored Recruit.
All Potential Sponsored Recruits and all Potential Non-Sponsored Recruits are required to fill out an application for membership. The application can be found HERE
Once the application is filled out the Potential Recruit’s sponsor will then make an immediate post right after the application is posted. This will be there endorsement for that Potential Recruit.
Once the sponsor has post one of the Senior Management Staff will then review the posts. If there are any problems with the post then the Sponsor will be notified of the problems. If all looks well then the application will be approved and the player will become an official AHP Recruit. As a Recruit you will be able to:
A. Enter Teamspeak (-AHP.R-) and (-AHP.S-) B. Play in AHP scrims (-AHP.R-) and (-AHP.S-) C. Give input during AHP Meetings (-AHP.S-) only
After 90 has passed, then it is appropriate for a membership vote to take place.
A. All membership votes will be put up by either the Recruits sponsor, or someone on the Senior Management Staff. It is not appropriate for another member to put up the vote unless specifically asked by the sponsor or someone who is a part of management.
After a vote is completed, the results will be given to the Senior Management Staff for a final decision to be made. There are three outcomes of a membership vote:
Yes: The Members of AHP recommend that we allow the
recruit to become a full AHP member.
Result of YES vote: The recruit will be notified that they are officially a member of AHP. They will be able to change their tag to the member tag, given member access to the forums, and given all rights of a full member. There will also be a meeting with the recruit, the sponsor, and a person on the management team as to what is now expected of them, as well as information about their ability to purchase admin.
Not Yet: The Members of AHP would like more time to evaluate a recruit.
Result of NOT YET vote: The “not yet” vote may be due to not enough players knowing the Recruit, or it may be based on other reasons. It is not a Yes vote, nor is it a no vote. The Recruit will keep their Recruit tag, and keep their TeamSpeak access. There will be a meeting with the recruit, the sponsor, and a member of the management team to go over the reasons their vote failed and what can be done to ensure a successful vote in the future.
No: The Members of AHP recommend that we NOT allow the recruit to become a full AHP member.
Result of a NO vote: At this time the Senior Management Staff, or the recruit’s sponsor, will inform the recruit that they are no longer a Recruit. They will lose their TeamSpeak Access, and they will no longer be able to wear the Recruit tag. They will still be able to play in all AHP servers.
Note: Anyone who is interested in joining AHP is given the opportunity to make their interest known. As a recruit you will need to make a sincere effort to reach out to members in Teamspeak, any games you may play, as well as on the forums to get to know members. As we now put up the first vote for you in 90 days, you really need to make that effort. Be sure that the conversations you have are positive and fun. Don’t mic spam, annoy people, or post spam. Sponsored recruits will always have an easier time getting a yes vote since they already know a good number of players generally. Non-Sponsored recruits may not know as many or anyone but this will make it easier to let us get to know you and you to know us. Follow this link to make a post showing interest to get a sponsor and let us get to know you.
